Four places for ESPs to find funding

Education support professionals (ESPs) play a vital role in America’s public schools, and like their colleagues in the classroom, they often find themselves without the funds necessary to implement great ideas. School nurses, para-educators, custodians, and all types of ESPs frequently must search for educational grants that will assist them in improving their professional practice.

The following grant resources present ESPs with some options to explore when looking for grant funding outside of their schools.

  • Fund for Teachers entrusts educators to design unique fellowships that validate professionalism and leadership.

  • Through its Learning & Leadership and Student Achievement grants, the NEA Foundation encourages ESPs to apply for up to $5,000 to fund high quality educational professional development endeavors and classroom projects.

This list merely scratches the surface of the body of educator grants available to ESPs. For a comprehensive list of grants available to ESPs and classroom teachers alike, check of our grant resource page.
