Better than the Oscars! What better place for an outstanding teacher to be teaching than Columbia, Missouri! I majored in journalism at Mizzou but did take education courses because I suspected in the end I would be teaching journalism. Which is exactly what happened. I became the 1981 National High School Journalism Teacher of the Year and can honestly say every professor and every course I had at Mizzou in both journalism and education were truly life-affecting. Columbia is a wonderful place for learning and you can be sure Kathy Steinhoff is a wonderful teacher.
