Deborah A. Cowan has been a Senior Vice President in Finance at Radio One, Inc. since 2005. During the four previous years, she was a Vice President in Finance.

In these positions, she has managed finance and accounting operations for the $400 million broadcast and media company which has 70 stations, 1700 employees, and reaches approximately 14 million weekly listeners in 22 markets. Radio One, Inc. also has ownership interests in TV One, LLC and Reach Media, Inc.

From 1983 to 2001, she worked for IBM Corporation in various progressively responsible financial positions including Manager, Finance and Planning, IBM Storage Group; CFO, Americas, IBM Public Sector; CFO, North America, IBM Government Industry; and Finance and Planning Manager, IBM National Federal Marketing and IBM Complex Systems Division.

Cowan earned a BBA in Accounting from Howard University and an MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia Business School. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the District of Columbia and is a past Metro-Washington, DC Chapter President, and National Board Chair of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc.
