Lauri J. Fitz-Pegado has more than two decades of international business experience in the public and private sectors. In May 2003 she became a principal of the Livingston Moffett International Group Practice, responsible for The Livingston Group's external communications and media relations.

As Assistant Secretary and Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service at the Department of Commerce, she promoted U.S. exports, helped U.S. companies expand their market share and compete for contracts around the world, and managed 130 offices overseas and 90 in the United States.

A former Foreign Service Officer who served in Latin America early in her career, Fitz-Pegado also provided domestic and international clients with public and government relations services throughout her eleven years at Gray and Company and Hill and Knowlton. Fitz-Pegado is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves as an advisor and board member for the Constituency for Africa, The Women's Foreign Policy Group, the United Negro College Fund's Institute for International Public Policy, The Ronald H. Brown Foundation and the American and African Business Women's Alliance.
