Aaron Wallace is Chief of Staff for the 135,000-member Florida Education Association (FEA), the state affiliate of the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. He has served on several gubernatorial commissions including the state's blue-ribbon Task Force on Education, the Florida Humanities Council Advisory Committee, and the Florida Teacher of the Year selection committee.
Following tours of duty that included Vietnam and Thailand, Wallace retired from active duty in the U.S. Air Force in 1985. In addition to many military honors, Wallace has received the Florida A&M University Outstanding Educator Award, the 1987 St. Andrew School Teacher of the Year Award, and the 1992 Bay District Ida S. Baker Distinguished Minority Educator of the Year Award.
