About this Grantee

With the “Teaching Inquiry through Environmental Investigations” model, middle and high school educators at Toms River Schools will learn to integrate inquiry-based learning into their classrooms more effectively using environmental issues.The study will occur during a five-day summer institute which will consist of real-life experiences in the field, interactions with regional natural resource experts, and focused facilitation.Follow-up meetings will occur during the year in which group members will conduct peer observation and model their findings for use throughout the district.
