About this Grantee

Through “Stepping Stones to Reading and Writing Success,” students will work in small intervention groups towards grade level competency. The lowest performing students will receive strategies to enhance their fluency skills, learn to monitor and clarify their understandings, and write summaries using on-level texts.Ultimately, Ms. Brecque and Mrs. Pearce wish to see students make a gain of at least one grade level in reading and heightened writing skills.
