About this Grantee

Ms. Mixdorf and Ms. Williams will lead a study group on an in depth look at inquiry through the inductive model.  Participants will learn this research based model of teaching literacy as they further their understanding of the Iowa Core Curriculum (ICC).  Participants will create and implement a unit based on ICC Essential Concepts and Skills.  Unit lessons will focus on increasing student achievement in the areas of reading comprehension and writing.  Key lessons throughout the unit will use the inductive model of teaching.
