Donna Meacham Blackman
Donna Meacham Blackman is Vice President, Finance for Marriott International, Inc., a leading lodging company with more than 3,500 lodging properties in 70 countries and territories.
As Vice President, Finance, Donna provides financial and analytical expertise for various programs and initiatives within Marriott’s Global Lodging Services division. To help increase hotel ownership among women and minorities, Donna is responsible for recruiting, supporting and educating entrepreneurs and business leaders as part of Marriott’s Diversity Ownership Program.
Donna has held several key roles at Marriott, including Vice President, Investor Relations, where she was a primary spokesperson to the investment community and advised senior management on investor perceptions and concerns, market trends and public disclosure practice and policy; and Director, financial reporting and accounting policy, where she was responsible for SEC reporting, financial analysis, as well as accounting and regulatory research.
Prior to joining Marriott in 1999, Donna was a Senior Manager with KPMG LLP in New York and Washington, D.C, where she served a variety of both public and private clients in the financial services, broadcasting, University and Not for Profit industries. Some of her major clients included Howard University, American University, Volunteers of America, NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Infinity Broadcasting.
Donna previously served on the Board for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of Inroads, the Women and Family Issues Executive Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and as Vice President of the Washington D.C. chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants.
Donna holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University and an MBA degree from the University of Maryland Robert H Smith School of Business.
