Brenna Isaacs

Brenna Isaacs currently serves as President of the Aurora Education Association, representing over 1400 teachers in the Aurora Public Schools, Aurora, Colorado.  She also represents the state of Colorado as an NEA Board Director and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Colorado Education Association.

Graduating from the University of Denver with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Speech Pathology, Isaacs started her career in education as a speech therapist, working with elementary students with speech and language needs for 10 years before deciding to pursue a teaching license.  Student teaching in 5th grade convinced her this was the grade to teach, where she spent the next 15 years, before taking leave to serve as local president.

As co-chair of the Colorado Education Association’s Teaching and Learning Taskforce, Isaacs is able to advocate for her passion, empowering teachers so that they can do the work necessary to provide a quality education to their students.

Isaacs is an advocate for students, teachers, public education, and the association.
