Many of the NEA Foundation Awards for Teaching Excellence (ATE) recipients will go from receiving top honors at our annual gala, to touring Beijing and Shanghai, China this summer, as participants in The Pearson Foundation’s Global Learning Fellowship. This fellowship is designed to broaden how educators navigate the global age so that they are better equipped to prepare their students for success in our increasingly flat world. This year’s trip will be held from June 19-28, 2012.

The tour is designed and led by Education First, and is sponsored by the NEA Foundation and the Pearson Foundation. The 2013 ATE awardees will be invited to participate on a similar trip next year.
