The NEA Foundation takes pride in the number of high-quality Learning & Leadership and Student Achievement grant proposals it receives. Since we unfortunately cannot fund all of these worthy proposals, we encourage applicants to consider multiple sources of funding when completing a grant application. Below are just a few select resources for educators searching for additional grant opportunities.


 

NEA Grants

NEA Grants – The National Education Association offers multiple grants to public school educators throughout the nation, as well as information on other available grants.

U.S. Department of Education

U.S. Department of Education - The U.S. Department of Education administers about 200 grant programs. Descriptions of these programs, as well as applications and guidelines, can be found on the Department's grants page.

National Environmental Education Foundation

National Environmental Education Foundation  – Through its Classroom Earth program, NEEF offers grants to educators to improve environmental education in their schools and for professional development.

 

NEA Urban Grants

NEA Urban Grants – The National Education Association's Urban Grants assist local NEA affiliates in the development of education reform leadership programs for preK-12/graduate school faculty and education support professionals.

Target Store Grants

Target Store Grants – Target Grants support programs that impact the arts and early childhood reading.

Target Field Trip Grants Program

Target Field Trip Grants Program - The Target Field Trip Grants Program was designed to help teachers bring learning to life for students and enhance classroom studies. The grants can be used to cover the cost of transportation, entry fees, supplies and classroom resource materials so that teachers may continue using the valuable experiential learning gained from math and science, language, social studies and arts-focused field trips.

Toshiba America Foundation Grants

 

Toshiba America Foundation Grants - Toshiba America Foundation grants support inquiry-based projects designed by individual teachers and small teams of teachers for use in their own classrooms to improve teaching and learning in science and mathematics.

 

Toyota Tapestry Grants for Science Teachers

Toyota Tapestry Grants for Science Teachers - Administered by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), Toyota Tapestry grants recognize outstanding educators who demonstrate excellence and creativity in science teaching.
