Staples Recycle for Education
Staples Recycle for Education ended September 15, 2005. Since July 2003, the program raised more than $2.9 million for public education. During the program, Staples provided a $1-per-cartridge donation to public education when eligible empty inkjet and laser toner cartridges were dropped in recycling bins at any of the 1,200 Staples stores nationwide.
Each dollar raised was returned to the state where the cartridge was recycled, either through grants awarded by The NEA Foundation or public education charities. All public K-12 school teachers, public education support professionals, or public higher education faculty and staff are eligible to apply for a grant from the foundation. See our grant guidelines for more information.
