Ms. Ronan and Ms. Kimble will lead “Write On!,” a unique opportunity for NYOS Elementary staff to meet in a K-5 vertical team to deepen and improve their knowledge of writing instruction with the goal of improving the writing skills of NYOS students. Over a six week period teachers will plan, teach, and assess effective writing instruction. At the end of the six weeks, teachers will conduct workshops for the entire staff based on their results. This learning group will increase teacher craft and reflective practice in writing instruction by using specific assessment and planning techniques.
