To improve student reading, spelling, and writing skills, Mrs. Sugrue and a team of colleagues will participate in the Orton-Gillingham practicum. The learning will be partnered with action research that will assess the most successful methods for improving nonfiction reading skills. The cohort will design a guide containing best strategies and practices to support other content area teachers, as well as provide professional development for the implementation of these strategies.
