Mrs. Halstead will attend the one-week Reading Institute at Teachers College, Columbia University to gain high-quality literacy strategies for working with struggling and reluctant readers at the intermediate level.Following the institute, Mrs. Halstead will conduct in-service training at her school, model best literacy practices in grades three through six classrooms, and collaborate regularly with other teachers.
