Mrs. Riggs and Ms. Bruce will lead a lesson on Hurricane Katrina’s effects on the physical geography of the surrounding areas. With the assistance of a visiting artist, students will learn through observation, group projects, internet research, hands-on experiences, and analysis of local art. The project will deepen knowledge in social studies and science through arts integration as students identify the interdependence of diverse communities.
