Dr. Lohman and Dr. Guillaume will facilitate a summer institute that will allow faculty to develop essential skills and model instructional materials to foster the academic achievement of first generation college students. The research based collegial study will support teaching and learning by improving student persistence, increasing graduation rates, and narrowing achievement gaps. Additionally, the work will expand faculty development opportunities to retain a diverse, high quality professional learning community.
