Dr. Michelle Salazar Perez

Dr. Perez will travel to Cuernavaca, Mexico, to participate in a language and culture immersion program for educators. While living with a host family, she will participate in language study and visit elementary schools and historical sites to learn about Mexican culture and heritage. Dr. Perez will share the knowledge she gains with her pre-service and in-service teachers enrolled in her early childhood courses focusing on language, culture, and pedagogy, and also her colleagues who integrate English as a Second Language instruction in their courses.
