Through “School to Farm,” Ms. Anderson and Mrs. Parmerlee will expose urban students to agriculture. Students will be provided with hands-on learning opportunities by visiting small organic farms, large production farms, historical farms, and the Iowa State University Bio-Century Learning Farm. Through these experiences and collaborations, students will gain the knowledge required to make informed decisions about the future of agriculture in Iowa.
