La Mirada Elementary students will participate in historic reenactments to build background knowledge and key vocabulary related to California’s history. Students will be immersed with a tour of a seventeenth century clipper ship, a walk on paths used by Spanish Friars, and a portrayal of figures from the gold rush era. The project will culminate with students creating virtual tours of each destination using iPods to record their experiences digitally.
