Ms. Kibler will introduce “The Gift of Coding,” an innovative professional development and student learning initiative that will build students’ coding skills and utilize those skills to develop math problem solving strategies. Ms. Kibler will attend the Future of Education Technology National Conference and then take the lead in training her colleagues in the areas of coding, coding-based problem-solving strategies, and the implementation of adaptive math. The project will also include coding challenges for students, problem solving linked to coding, school-wide coding challenges, and coding tasks integrated into team building sessions and art activities.
