To improve her ability to engage with and support preschool children with special needs, Ms. Powell will participate in the Reggio Emilia study tour in Italy. Through the study, Ms. Powell will learn to use arts-based activities to support development and explore the design of art environments incorporating natural and recycled materials. Upon returning, Ms. Powell will design an art studio and implement new activities to support students’ needs as identified by their Individual Education Program (IEP) goals.
