Ms. Zapata will lead a team of SF Community School (SFCS) educators that will support the needs of the school’s English Language Learners. Educators will place particular emphasis on strengthening the learning of Long Term English Language Learners, currently the lowest performing students across achievement indicators at SFCS. The project will allow educators to work collaboratively in study groups to provide the foundation for stronger blocks of classes and better use of strategies and interventions across all grade levels.
