To learn about current policy development in deaf education, Lewis will attend the International Congress on Education of the Deaf. Upon returning, Lewis will create a curricular unit focusing on deaf education policy in action. The unit will contain learning modules that will parallel and support existing curriculum and standards in general education, including U.S. government, persuasion and debate, and technological fluency.
