Through Music and Digital Storytelling to Support Literacy, Mrs. Scarpelli and Mrs. Rakoczy will teach students to create digital stories with animation and eBooks applications on the iPad2. Using a nursery rhyme framework, each digital story will include pictures, written text, student-performed piano accompaniment, and sung text. The resulting eBooks will be shared with younger students to promote a greater interest in both reading and music.
