Ms. Schmitz will create a “Mindful Classroom” as a Tier 1 Response to Intervention, with the intent to increase student focus, improve emotional regulation, and enhance interpersonal relationships. Through the implementation of direct instruction and daily practice, students in the classroom will improve academic performance and exhibit fewer absences due to anxiety and fewer aggressive behaviors.
