Meredith Blackmore

Ms. Blackmore and colleagues will introduce the history and current situation of unaccompanied minors from Central America to the United States. Pulitzer Prize winner Sonia Nazario will give a lecture to students about the experiences of children emigrating to the U.S. and how they are treated upon arrival. Students will reflect on Ms. Nazario’s words and participate in co-curricular projects that will provide them the opportunity to enhance intercultural competencies and promote global citizenship.
