Dr. Pauken will travel to Belize, where she will experience archeological field work, contribute to ongoing research, and gain a deeper understanding of Mayan culture. She will work with archeologists and anthropologists, and will learn how to use the required tools and basic techniques of processing inventory and artifact analysis. During and after the trip, Dr. Pauken will blog about the challenges of field work and share her findings of the Mayan culture with students and colleagues.
