Ms. Peake and Mr. Sairanen will lead a group of Advancement Via Individualized Determination (AVID) students in an environmental awareness experience at Oregon State University. Educators at the university will guide activities to expand student knowledge of sustainability, recycling, and clean energy. Upon returning to César Chávez School, students will share their learning with peers and implement a school wide recycling program.
