Ms. Harrelson will attend the Mathematical Leadership Summit at Stanford University, where she will study the text and resources of Jo Boaler’s “Mathematical Mindsets.” The resources will allow Ms. Harrelson to collaborate with educators in her district to transform students’ ideas and experiences in the math classroom and to make the subject more enjoyable and achievable. Ms. Harrelson will moderate and share this learning through face-to-face and blended learning in both her district and online with members of the Colorado Education Association through the Colorado Professional Institute for Learning Online Together.
