Ms. Garcia and Mrs. Bush will provide a group of Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) students with curricular support, career exploration, and academic enrichment opportunities through a series of field trips in the Miami metropolitan area. Activities in the program will focus on writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading. Assignments will highlight financial planning, scholarships, and the college application process while also preparing students with the skills necessary for future work environments. The program will culminate with student reflections that allow them to analyze their thoughts, feelings, and acquired skills.
