In an effort to increase students’ understanding and appreciation of American history, Ms. Sweezea and Mrs. Matulia will develop “Big Ideas and Essential Questions” to guide student learning through a social studies curriculum. Students will use a variety of texts to analyze, evaluate, critique, and justify their ideas and understanding of how our nation developed. Knowledge gained through each big idea will be used in year-end activities, such as the establishment of a living history museum.
