Lincoln County School District will partner with the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Westwind Stewardship Group, and Willamette University to facilitate a two day science workshop for district educators. Participants will engage in field studies of unique biological communities as they learn innovative strategies for teaching ocean literacy. Teacher leaders will be identified in ocean literacy and will work with Willamette faculty and Oregon Coast Aquarium staff to conduct teacher research and lead their schools in implementing instruction tied to science, math, and literacy content standards.
