To help establish a positive learning environment and encourage teachers and students to take ownership of their learning, Ms. McMillan will attend the national SXSWedu conference. While there, Ms. McMillan will connect with like-minded educators from various backgrounds in education. Upon returning, she will use her knowledge to make her school’s interdisciplinary STEM curriculum more rigorous, relevant, and engaging while paying particular attention to students underrepresented in STEM fields.
