Through “Hitting the Iditarod Trail,” Mrs. Drudy will attend the Iditarod Summer Camp for Educators. While there, Mrs. Drudy will learn of the history of the race, which was founded as a collaborative effort of dog sled teams to transport serum to ward off a diphtheria epidemic. The camp’s sessions will enable Mrs. Drundy to build a solid knowledge base about the social repercussions of the race and challenge her to use best practices to impact student success through experiential learning.
