The “Aquaponics Skills for an Evolving Horticulture Industry” project will incorporate high impact teaching practices to improve the success rates and certification and degree completion rates of vocational students. Students will be provided with undergraduate research opportunities, particularly in the areas of biology and earth science. Additionally, the project will provide hands-on instruction to general education students that will allow them to link lessons with the real-world social issues of food security and clean water.
