Third and sixth grade students at South Street Elementary School will work together to create stories and poems using digital storytelling applications. Sixth grade students will act as mentors for the third grade students throughout the creative process. The students will use the writing process of brainstorming, creating rough drafts, revising and editing, and then completing final drafts on Kindle Fire tablets. Ultimately, parents and community members will be invited to a reading night where the students will display their artwork and read their stories.
