Bethany Fenyus

Ms. Fenyus and Mrs. Huber will lead their colleagues in curricular change and professional development focusing on teaching practices that improve critical literacy.  The project will revolve around the theme of war and how the theories of critical literacy can encourage educators to help students understand the complexities of war and question their place in the world so that their personal, social, and civic interactions will help move our nation toward a more democratic and just society.  Students will ultimately learn how critical literacy can enhance language arts through literature, multimodal texts, propaganda, music, and the visual arts.
