Dr. Marlena Bravender

Dr. Bravender and Ms. Martin will explore effective ways to integrate virtual simulations in Spanish foreign language lessons to mimic authentic foreign language experiences. Through this action research, the cohort will create and distribute lessons that engage middle school students in situations that will help them understand the authentic environments in which Spanish is spoken. The areas of culture, food, clothing, common phrases, and study tools will be explored. The group will also track the impact of simulation integration on students’ test scores and student feedback.
