Eboni Walker

Ms. Walker and Mrs. Moy will lead an action research study of the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) as a tool to improve the teaching and learning of English language learners at Sargent Shriver Elementary School. The group looks to improve the performance of the school’s ELL population, which comprises 59 percent of the student body. Members of the group will present their learning to grade level teams of colleagues. Additionally, a scholarly brief will be written and shared with school staff and district leadership, chronicling professional experiences and student outcomes with the use of the SIOP model.
