Michael Wooten

Through “Learning First Hawaii,” Wooten and a group of educators from throughout Hawaii will conduct a detailed study of teacher professional development. The study will use quantitative, qualitative, and academic research to identify areas of need and examine Hawaii’s structural impediments to delivering the types of high-quality professional development that would most benefit students. The work will culminate with a paper that will lay out ways to improve the methodology of how professional development is chosen and delivered.
