Nancy Garcia

To address the wide range of learners in her multiage dual language classroom, Ms. Garcia will implement a reading workshop and create a leveled classroom library. Through daily reading routines, students will develop ownership of their reading in two languages. Students will learn how to pick high interest books at their reading level, build reading stamina, and comprehend text using reading strategies. During independent reading time, students will confer with teachers to set goals and meet in small groups for explicit instruction.
