Mrs. Conrad will implement a leveled literacy intervention, which is a research-based, systematic reading program that will enhance Wahoo Public Schools’ Title 1 program to accelerate reading proficiency. The intervention, which will be introduced in the elementary school Title 1 classrooms, will include five essential components: phonemic awareness; alphabetic principle; fluency; vocabulary; and comprehension; that provide a balanced approach to teaching reading. Educators will track and record student progress daily.
