Sekou Cox

Mr. Cox and his colleagues on the MS 353 STEM team will work with New York Sun Works to integrate a school greenhouse into school programming and curriculum. The team will convert a classroom to a hydroponic farming laboratory to educate students and fellow educators about the science of sustainability. Throughout the project, educators will learn essential questions about plant life, animal interactions, and sustainability through exploration, read alouds, and observations. The group will also lead students on trips to botanical gardens, science museums, and farms to connect classroom learning to real world applications.
