Stephanie Bennington

To provide her Marine Biology and Environmental Science students with real life scenarios regarding conservation of the ocean’s top predator and how shark finning is affecting biodiversity, Ms. Bennington will travel to South Africa to participate in the White Shark Research Project with other marine scientists. While there, Bennington will work with conservation organizations to gather data on white sharks by tagging and work to stop the slaughter of more than 100 million sharks annually. Upon returning, Bennington will share these findings with her students and utilize her data for the Marine Biome Biodiversity and Shark Conservation class projects.
