William Hughes

Through “Renewable Electricity Producing Clean Water,” Mr. Hughes and Mr. McAninch will increase their students’ science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills by enhancing current curriculum with cross-curricular energy and environmental activities. Students will design, build, test, and evaluate various microbial fuel cells to determine which are most effective in converting energy. The experimental fuel cells will be outfitted with sensors that will record data on classrooms computers, which will allow students to instantly track and analyze progress.
