The NEA Foundation would like to announce two strategy officer job opportunities to promote the best in public education with an emphasis on educational justice, equity, excellence and opportunity. Both officers will lead grants, awards and/or fellowship programs as well as help cultivate new partnerships and initiatives that invest in educators’ leadership, shared learning and collaboration, advance the best in teaching and learning, and support educator-led improvements in practice and policy. They will also help design the Foundation’s internal systems in furtherance of this work.
Key skills and competencies for these positions include knowledge and experience in identifying, assessing and communicating best practices related to education practice and policy; excellent project and time management skills; and a demonstrated capacity to advance justice, equity, excellence and opportunity, including racial equity, in prior roles. Experience as an educator preferred; previous grantmaking and grants management experience desirable.
