Of the many wonderful educators that Esther had, one of her favorites was Ms. Waters, her middle school band instructor. She ignited Esther’s passion for musical expression and for using music as a way to connect with others.
Esther serves as Strategy Associate, providing administrative, technical, and strategic support for the NEA Foundation’s grants, awards and fellowship programs as well as new initiatives.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Esther attended Howard University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. With previous experience as a Community Service Coordinator and Academic mentor, the Foundation felt like a great fit for her.
In her spare time, Esther enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing clarinet, and traveling.
