This grant will support the fourth annual Chamber Music @ Spring Valley, a multi-day chamber music festival for advanced middle school and high school students. As a part of the festival, students in the Spring Valley/Richland/Midlands area attend daytime performances of chamber music by college-level and regionally, nationally, and internationally recognized chamber musicians. They have the opportunity to receive coaching and participate in a question-and-answer session with the guest musicians. They also perform in the evening. This event provides students with a unique opportunity to receive training in this often- overlooked form of classical music.
